Spring Break- It’s a Trip, not a Vacation

While I was researching for Friday’s post on what to pack, I ran across my “Vacation Gone Awry” post. In this post I said,

“Next time I go on a vacation, I’m going to come back to this post to try and adjust my expectations, and to try to remember the things I learned. I know a little perspective adjustment from me will make for a much more pleasant vacation.”

So here’s what I’m going to remind myself of while on my trip:

-“I’m going to try really hard to learn that commercials are advertisements… they are advertisements, Carly!

Blah Days

How are you guys today? I’m having a blah day, myself. It’s weird because in my younger years, I didn’t really have very many blah days. So they used to make me panic. I would think to myself, “What’s wrong with me?… Will I ever get out of this?… Is this the new me?… Why am I not happy?…Look at all that I have to be thankful for… Everyone else seems happy.” Well, thankfully I’m coping with my blah days a little bit better now.

Happy Monday! There is nothing like beating the Monday morning blues with pretty house pictures! My family and I stayed in this beautiful cottage in California this summer. If I saw this house on the street, I would immediately want to see inside! I’m a ‘Curious George’ like that. Assuming I wasn’t the only one who likes to look at pretty house pictures, I made my family promise to not touch anything while I ran through the house taking pictures like a crazy women!
